Bastet seemed to have two sides to her personality, docile and aggressive. Her aggressive and vicious nature was exposed in the accounts of battles in which the pharaoh was said to have slaughtered the enemy as Bastet slaughtered her victims.
Guinevere was a legendary wife of King Arthur. She was daughter of king Leodegrance and princess of Carmelide. Beautiful and caring queen of camelot. Nobody is perfect. Guinevere is blamed of adultery and downfall of the entire kingdom of peace.

Epona was a Celtic goddess of horses and fertility. Epona was responsible for leading souls in afterlife. Cult of Epona was also widespread in the Roman Empire.
Imposant and powerful. Valkyries were mythical scandinavian female creatures deciding who will die in battle and who will be chosen to the afterlife in Valhalla.

Bastet. I really love the multi-faceted personality that she seemed to have had. It seemed she could be sweet and loving and at the same time brutal and terrible all rolled up into one. She was pretty darn cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to enter the giveaway and for taking the time to list all the awesomeness above up there. I had either forgotten many of those women of myth or didn't know them to begin with so that was great. Thank you.
