I pulled my fangs out with difficulty and licked the blood from her wrist as Archer did the same. I sat back on the couch, closed my eyes and took a few much needed deep breaths. Her blood had been utterly exquisite and by far the best I had tasted yet. I licked my lips and fangs, not wanting to waste a drop, as I basked in the satisfaction of my meal.
“That was amazing,” she whispered contentedly beside me as she tried to catch her breath. “Please tell me I’m next,” Jason chuckled from the couch. “I could use a good orgasm.”
I heard Archer growl lowly and opened my eyes to see him flash to his feet as he turned to face Jason.
“Archer,” I whispered and he immediately turned back to me, his eyes were just starting to drain of their color. I guess someone didn’t like the way my bite had affected the male feeders. I stood on wobbly legs and reached out for him. He was instantly there, his arms wrapped protectively around me, and I sighed as I shook my head, trying to clear the overwhelming urge to feed again.
My God... That was the most amazing experience of my entire life. Her blood... it was like tasting heaven. I didn’t want to stop, but I knew I should before I took too much, I told him silently as I looked up into his ice blue eyes
“Your control is astounding, Skye,” he praised in a soft whisper, his eyes shining proudly. “It is very rare for one as young as you to stop so readily. You are a remarkable woman... but I always knew that.”
“It is impressive,” Oleif conceded from his post by the doorway. “Ruarc will be happy to know she’s not a completely mindless monster after all.”

Man can we scream I WANT ME SOME IRISH SEXY VAMPIRE!! I mean whew!! This story had so much personality in it! I am so in love with the Skye! She's spunky, don't take no crap, and has amazing style!
Skye is in desperate need of a job where she can make more money (school loans) so when she is saved by the oh so sexy Archer who offers her a interview. He's opening a new club and is willing to pay her big bucks to help him open and run his club! What else could go right for her? Oh soooo much more! She meets lead singer of this kick a$$ band!! He is super sweet and OMG so amazingly fine! His name is Jameson and he is also Archers BROTHER! Yep that's right! Oh did I forget to mention they are vampires? No well they are!
So imagine that drama!?!? Woo what drama it is! Hot sexy mind reading drama! Oh yes!
This was a great first start to the series. It lets you really get to know Skye, her drama with the boys, the club, and then the really Vampire drama starts when Vampires end up dying! I can't wait to read book 2 which I am on my way to do right now!

I kissed him so completely that it brought tears to my eyes.”

“I wanted to make this sick bastard pay for every time he hit me, fed from me, and nearly raped me. I wanted to make him beg for ME to stop hurting HIM…I wanted to make him regret the day he met me.”
First off let me say this I love how many details this author puts into EVERYTHING!!! She lets me know exactly what I need to so I can close my eyes and see it perfectly. I have never really been into the goth scene (Except my vampires of course) so when author explain it I am really grateful! Thanks for that!
Now.... Wow.... Done it again and I am jumping up and down about the certain hookup that happened! ;)
Now back to how this story rocked! Now that I know all the characters it was great to see how things progressed with the murders so when the crazy vampire uses Skye to get to Archer and his Vampire family I was AMAZED AND SO PROUD at how our girl Skye handled herself! I won't tell you as always! I'm just saying its action packed steamy and fabulous!!!

Whew! Man these books have been an emotional roller coaster for our poor girl Skye!! I was heart broken when she left my boy but, wow her and her new love are so adorable and sexy!! Anyway
So crazy guy Amun BLEW HIS ESSENCE INTO SKYE so she was changing into a crazy DarkOne just like him but, Archer couldn't let that happen so he quickly changed her into a DayWalker. So Skye is now Vampire but mixed with both dark and day.... Amun wants her for his queen and will kill everyone she loves to get her! Skye is NOT having it though she is down with being scared and putting the people she loves in harms way!
It's a great book and man Skye surprises me more and more!
Archer as always is infuriating and so so SO sexy!
Jameson is amazing and has to go on tour so it's so sad when he's not around!!
Man I am going to be counting down for book 5 I hope for Skye's sake that it is all mellow but, I have a feeling something might happen!
