Friday Afternoon

Contemporary,Erotic Romance
Publisher:Lyrical Press
Release Date: September 2, 2013
Heat Level: Sizzling

Description:
Before kids and the responsibility of life, Levi and I shared a spontaneous, erotic, and deliciously deviant marriage. But the years transformed what we had into something comfortable and worn. It hurts me to think his desire for me has cooled. I miss that look of his. Slightly evil and totally hot, like he wanted to devour me. Haven’t seen it in ages.

When I first married Mia, she submitted to every one of my erotic needs. Then came the children. With little complaint, I abandoned my pursuit of kink, content to be married to a beautiful, intelligent woman who’s a great mother to our twins. Out of the blue, Mia confesses she misses the intimacy in our marriage, misses the sex. After this enticing revelation, my plan to reconnect with her unfolds.

In our secret, kinky, Friday afternoon meetings I’m going to give her everything she wants and take everything I need. Will this be the answer to fixing our marriage?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations (including BDSM/light bondate) and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Favorite quotes:

“God, please, please don’t let me find out he’s seeing someone else,” I whisper into the
emptiness. I’m terrified because there’s no possible positive outcome for the discussion I want to
have. It’s all bad, but to what degree? Is it I-don’t-find-you-sexy-anymore bad? Or is it I’ve-hada-
mistress-for-thelast-five-years bad?
“What’s going on, babe?”
I swallow hard and in a soft voice, ask, “Do you still love me, Levi?” Fear rips through
me as the words tumble past my lips and then spikes when he doesn’t answer me immediately.
But then, his face softens. “Of course I do. Why would you ask me that?”
“Are you happy…with me, I mean…with our relationship?”
I feel ill.
“Yes, I’m happy. Aren’t you?”
I nod. “Yes.”
“I feel a but coming.” He smiles at me. I don’t smile back.
“I feel like I’m not sexy to you anymore.”

He rushes in the bedroom door, but I’m standing behind it, out of view. He’s lost me, and
looks around quickly, searching. By the time his head turns enough that I’m in his line of sight,
the handcuff is already snapped around his wrist. His gaze meets mine, and then he looks down
at his wrist.
“What are you doing, brat?” His eyes blaze.

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
This was a novella of the relationship between a husband and his wife and the aftermath of children and life. Before children they had a somewhat of a Dom/Sub lifestyle. Even though Mia and Levi love each other more than life itself, their sex life has before comfortable and almost non-existent since having the twins. One day Mia starts to wonder what happened, did Levi stop finding her attractive? Did he find someone new to give him the pleasure she used to give him?

Mia decides it is time to get the spark back in her marriage. She explains to Levi what her concerns are. Levi sits and listens to her concerns and is surprised that Mia does not think he wants her anymore. He believed he was doing the right thing and being thoughtful and not pushing her.  The both realize they want the connection they had back and to get that they would have to work around their children’s presence so Levi devises a plan to meet every Friday at lunch at the house to rekindle their romance they once had.  As they continue their Friday meetings they grow closer to each other and he brings her into the true Dom/Sub lifestyle that he knows she was ready for before children. Will this fix what is wrong with their marriage or will it tear them apart?
I really loved this book but I wish it was longer. With the way this story was written you can believe the story can be real. When I started reading it I agreed with Mia and felt sad and angry with the way she felt her Levi acted toward her.  Then I read Levi’s side of the story and I thought OH BABY!! I want Levi for myself. This story is written from both persons point of view.  And like they say there is two sides to every story. After having children women never feel attractive as they did before. The Dom/Sub atmosphere is an interesting lifestyle. There is light bondage, toys and handcuffs in this book.  Levi is so HOT he can handcuff me to his bed anytime… If you are not into light bondage and a Dom/Sub relationship and very HOT, EROTIC, and GRAPHIC reading then this is not the book for you.  I would recommend this book to anyone.
