Book Description:
The world is not what Riley Kordek imagined. On the run from those who’ve targeted her, all Riley wants is a chance to figure out her new ability to bend metal’s energy. When a hot guy who knows more than he should helps her escape her attackers, she thinks she might’ve found someone who can lead her to the answers she needs.
Three years ago, Sam Remington walked away from his employer and the woman he loved, and now, all he’s looking to do is fill the gaping hole left behind. Except, when Sam takes Riley to the Society for Goddess Education and Defense, the stakes rise beyond what either of them could have imagined.
After being alone for so long, falling for Sam would be far too easy—and far too painful, once his old flame calls needing his help. Worse, Riley uncovers a plot with disastrous ramifications not only for herself, but for Sam and the people he loves—and potentially every goddess in the country.

Favorite Line(s) “Now she was all flustered and flushed. And maybe some more F words.”

“I’m saying take care of him. But be careful.”

“It felt good to share a burden, instead of taking on someone else’s. To have a person care about him so much she’d make sacrifices for him”

“I want you.” He shrugged. “That’s what it comes down to.”

This book is no other paranormal story. I don't mean the the love story and the bad guys. I mean the Goddess aspect.
Riley is is what's called a goddess she can get e very and power from touching metal! (Other goddess can get power from water crystal healing. All kinds of things.
Sam was part of Society (Goddess Network) for many years as a protector but, after his heart was broken he decided to step away.
Riley happen to see Sam on an teaching video for the Society that was years ago but something about him made her think he could help. She has been running for month someone is after her, they got her fired, messed up her bank accounts, and now are trying to snatch her. She finally finds Sam at a little bar and wow is he gorgeous!
After a kidnapping gone wrong Sam and Riley end up together. All Sam wants to do is drop Riley off with Society me get out of there or does he? Oh you gotta read it and find out.
It's a great book that makes you want to grab some metal and kick some butt!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review!

Everybody Needs a Little Romance
www.everybodyneedsalittleromance.com

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I've been a writer my whole life, with stories and movie scenes peppering my childhood. But I knew I wanted to be a writer in college. I knew I *was* a writer when I stopped liking certain novels because I was analyzing them too hard.

Describe your books in 3 words?
Non-stop action and romance.

Do you have a process?
Not really. Every book seems to come out in a different way. I typically discover the story as I write instead of planning it out ahead of time, and then have to rewrite it a few times to make it all work right.

Who or What is your inspiration?
I have many. Anyone who has struggled to achieve a dream or a level of success in a field they are passionate about. People who have overcome tragedy and hardship. And even people who are just so darned talented it makes you almost want to cry.

What will you be working on next?
I'm finishing up the last stages of my next three books: Sunroper, the last book in the Goddesses Rising trilogy, will be out in December. I have a new romantic adventure coming out with Entangled Ignite in November (A Kiss of Revenge) and another one in February. I'm also working on the next couple of books in my Soul Series.

What's your favorite genre to write?

Romantic adventure, because the high stakes lend urgency to the romance, and the romance make the high stakes more personal. I love writing paranormal on top of that because I can make stuff up without regard to rules or reality. :)

Person you would like to meet most in this world?
I don't actually want to meet anyone because I'm a total social misfit and it would be awkward and ridiculous, but Joss Whedon would top my list if that weren't the case. He's just such a good writer and knows people so well.

What is one thing that would surprise us to know about you?
I always think nothing I could say would be a surprise. LOL Despite having zero musical talent myself, I have somehow spawned a child who plays 4 instruments, 3 of them self-taught.

If you could be any character from one of your books who would it be?
Well, pretty much every heroine I write is someone I want to be. That's why I write them, because I'm so very much *not* like them in most ways! :) But I'll say Molly Byrnes, the heroine of my February book, Hearts Under Siege. She's a quiet type, silently supportive of her best friend, a guy she's loved all her life, but when his life shatters, she picks up the pieces with steely strength. Also? Brady Fitzpatrick is well worth the unrequited love. LOL

What is your greatest fear about being an author/publishing your book(s)?
Oh, good question. I think my greatest fear is mediocrity.

Would the 10 year-old version of yourself kick your butt or praise you for what you've accomplished in life?
I think she would pat me on the back. My biggest achievement—partnered with my husband, of course—has been the daughters we've raised. While doing so, I never gave up on the writing, no matter how hard things got. And now I'll have 15 books on the shelves to show for that perseverance.

If you could meet any author, dead or alive, who would you choose?
I'm blessed to have met many of my idols, so I'll say J.K. Rowling, because I admire what she's done so very much.

What is your favorite type of fairy and why?
Pixies! Because they're mischievous and funny and not very scary...until they are.
