About the Author:
Lola is a fool for a love
story, a sucker for a cupcake, and let’s not talk about what she’d do for a
Klondike bar. She enjoys long walks on the beach and movies that involve
chainsaws. By day she's the HR Lady and by nightfall she puts on a cape to
become a romance writer.

It’s an amazing feeling, being in love. Alex held me in his
arms as we bore into each other. Italy had become the canvas of our romance,
and here we stood, with Lake Como as the perfect backdrop. Lies may have
plagued our courtship, but ultimately we loved each other—despite our rocky
beginning and regardless of our fate.
As you know, Guardians are descended from angels but in
human form. Visions are the power that they possess, and they protect those who
cannot protect themselves.
“I won, Meggy, I won the contest.” Morgan broke my attention
from Redmond as she pushed the IDC Fashion House papers into my chest. “We’re
going to Italy this summer.” She fell back on my bed with her eyes dancing as
she stared back up at me. I looked from her to the papers. My life had turned
into Groundhog Day. Just a never ending loop of bullshit. He’d said he would
give me my life back, but this was the same thing. Alex. In a fury, I stood up,
closed the blinds and the curtains, and then began to tear the IDC papers up “Megan,
what are you doing?” She tried to wrestle the torn pages from my hand. But I
just tore them faster. “Megan, STOP!” she screamed, slapping me. “That was our
ticket to Italy.” she yelled breathlessly, papers all around us and our arms
tangled. I shook my head and grabbed her into a hug. “I love you, Morgan.” I
whispered to her as tears began to fall from my eyes. None of this made sense,
but I would gratefully take having my sister back in my life. “Why are you
crying? I should be crying, not you,” she fumed, pushing me off her. I fell
back on the bed, giddy. “Fate.” I giggled. It was awkward that I was laughing,
but I knew what to do—or not to do, rather. First, stay the hell away from
Italy and Alex, and second, call the police on the stalker known as Redmond
outside.
This book was given to me for an honest review…
Do you believe in Fate?
If you do then this is the book for you… Megan is known as a Guardian.
She is a protector of her nephew. Who,
with one touch can kill a vampire. Yes, a vampire. Megan defies her fate by
falling for a half human/half vampire named Alex. She is also a person who has visions and her
visions tell her, her fate is with another vampire named Emilian. After her sister dies she must protect Gio
her nephew from other vampires because they want him dead. Will Megan continued
to defy fate and stay with Alex? Or will she truly embrace her fate and be with
the man she will love forever?
This is a slow starting and confusing story at times. If you haven’t read the first book in the
series you need to. It will help you to understand a little more of what
happened with her, Alex, Emilian and her sister. It was as good story once I
got further in the book. Hated the ending
though, it left me hanging, but was worth it.
Have to read the third book just to know what happen.
