Blurb:
Cade committed himself to saving lives before he learned the full consequences of his life-altering decision. It wasn’t until he was tending his sick wife that he learned the enormity of what he’d done and he was unable to save her from the monster he had become. Consumed with guilt and praying for absolution, he threw himself into killing every Fallen he could find to save the humans he’d sworn to protect. But then Emma, deliciously mortal and completely forbidden, swept into his world, stirring an overpowering desire. Now he’s not only fighting soulless creatures, but also his inner cravings, trying to maintain his distance and continue on his path to forgiveness. He won’t lose control again and lose another love.

Author Bio:
RB Austin is a writer of paranormal romances and YA novels. She puts her slightly neurotic organizational skills to good use managing her time as a wife, mother, full time worker, author, and blogger. Her dream is to become a full time writer and move down south where she can sit on the sunniest beach with her laptop and a bag of chocolates, writing what the voices in her head tell her to. In her spare time she enjoys knitting. Her current project is a dog sweater because even if it turns out ugly and full of holes her cairn terrier can’t complain. Favorite Lines  “You’re scared to live and you’re too scared to keep on living. Safe isn’t what we’re supposed to be, it’s what we’re supposed to give. You don’t despise the way I live, you’re jealous of it. Jealous of the fact I can be with a female without . . .”

“You don’t have to hide them from me,” she said quietly. “I’ve been around scars for most of my life.”

“I’ve learned some need to save themselves, while others need to open their hearts for saving.”

“You’re a kind and decent man. How many lives have you saved by what you do every night?” “It’s as it should be. I’ve a penance.” “No what you have is a shield,”

“You’re my bahshrett and I’m yours.” “I’m yours,” she whispered. “Always.”

“My son. Do you not consider that I want you to be happy? To me you’re my son in every shape of the word and I want the best for you.”

I can never get enough of the good vs evil paranormal books! This one was fabulous! It had everything I love and more. I loved the names for all different types of characters. It was a beautiful and frightening story.
Imagine losing your family because of a choice you made then spend hundreds of years blaming yourself. Barely living because of the guilt. That's the way Cade choose to live his life.
A long time ago a Elias (Behnshma) came to Cade when he was dying of small pox and offered him something, needed something from him. He wanted him to fight against Apollyon. Cade said yes but had to go see his family. He knew they were gone but he had to see. When he was there his wife was not all the way gone yet and when he smelled her blood the monster in him woke up and killed her.
That was over 200 years ago. He's been fighting the Fallen barely living.
Emma just lost her job and is drinking her worries away on the way home she decides to take a short cut and she interrupts a Fallen killing some humans for the soul. Right when one of the Fallen is sucking out her soul she feels the Fallen being pulled away from her. After seeing something she couldn't comprehend she passes out. When she wakes up she's not home, when the lights come on she sees a yummy man staring at her.
He's kidnapped her right? She can't shake the feeling she's having for Cade.
Could she be his bahshrett?

This is a great book about forgiveness, love, and fighting evil. I'm hoping the author makes this a series I would love to know more about these SEXY Trihune. It's a great book!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review
