Henry Chase is desperate to find his daughter lost in the Highlands. When he steps through a stone circle, he's transported to the Otherworld. With his human form hidden by glamour, he masquerades as a Fae knight. He's instantly besotted by Queen Maeve and determined to break down the walls she's erected around her heart.
In the aftermath of war, Queen Maeve's kingdom has been destroyed. She must close the portals to the human realm and restore her lost magic. But before she can set things straight, her archenemy, the Goddess of War, attacks, seeking revenge.
When the goddess captures the queen, Henry offers his life for Maeve's in the hope his bravery will earn the queen's love. Discovering Henry is human and knowing she must send him back to his world, Maeve tries to fight her feelings for him. Now she must choose--life at court or life with Henry--before she loses him forever.
I was given this book in exchange for a honest review.
This was a book that when I first got it I was not sure if I would like it. But as I started to read it I really enjoyed it. It is not my usual type of book but I really liked it. This story had a mixture of dragons, Fae and knights.
Henry has been looking for his daughter who disappeared and he receives a surprise visit from someone with a letter from his daughter telling him she is ok, but he is not satisfied with that so he convinces his visitor to take him to where he can go and see his daughter and bring her back. When he finds his daughter he also fines something he never expected to find.
Queen Maeve was the queen of the Otherworld and her kingdom was distroyed due to war. She also hates humans and must return all humans to the human realm and close the portals. What she never expected was to meet some she would love and would love her back but there is one major problem, he(Henry) is human. Maeve fights her feelings for Henry but there is someone else that is trying to kill Maeve. Will she survive only to lose Henry because he must return to his world? Or will she give up everything to be with Henry for ever, Including immortality?
I loved this story and will recommend it to anyone. It is full of action, suspense and romance.
