Psychic Clear Angel hasn’t seen or heard from her one-time lover Detective Grant since their first case wrapped up six months ago, and that is perfectly fine with her! But when he shows up on her porch in the rain and in tears, she cannot hold her ground. No matter how she feels about Grant and her “gift”, she can’t ignore the visions already pouring in.
Grant
knows that he is no good for Clear, and has respected the distance she has
kept. But when his daughter goes missing and the Chicago police have no leads,
he turns to Clear and her unique abilities.
This
next adventure puts Grant and Clear in close quarters as they find themselves
once again fighting their feelings for one another. Thrust into the dark
underworld of performance art, they strive to track down a ballerina who keeps
taunting Clear in her visions. As they delve deeper into one studio, the
grisly visions that haunt Clear may be more than she can handle. Can Clear hold
it together to help find Grant’s daughter before it is too late?
Get
the exciting sequel to Elements of a Broken Mind and find out what happens with
Grant and Clear as they find themselves once again fighting dreams and
passion. Angel’s Dance releases on November 25th, 2013 in paperback and e-book.

Character
Spotlight: Detective Grant Anderson
Physically:
Grant is a hottie! Oh, ok, I am a bit biased, but tell me if you disagree! At 6
‘ 2, with dark curly hair, sultry blue eyes, strong nose and chin and a lean
yet muscular build; it is hard to imagine that he wouldn’t turn a few heads.
Add in a brooding stare and a nice matching of suit jacket with jeans and you
have a perfect blend of business and casual. Yum!
Strengths:
Grant is a really deep guy. He is the kind of gentleman that does what is
right, simply because it is right. He became a cop for all the right reasons:
to help others, to protect the weak, and to find justice for the victims. He
cares.
Which
leads to his weaknesses. Grant cares, sometimes too much. In Elements his pain
at not being able to help the others led readers (and maybe even himself at
times) to wonder if he didn’t have a bit of a drinking problem. He puts himself
at risk, and puts his job before everything in his life. He worries and cares
about others, often at the risk of his own wants and needs. When things go
wrong and he cannot help, he blames himself and beats himself up pretty bad for
it.
Quirks:
Raking his hands through his hair when he is frustrated and not always thinking
the nicest things about people. Eating the food that he likes without
considering the strange combinations. (Lean Cuisine meals, but drinks
whole milk.) Despite his tough exterior, he is a softy. He likes romantic
comedies, believes in true love, and wants to be the prince who rescues the
princess.
Inspired
by: Grant’s character is inspired by some really great men. His name
comes from a lawyer I really admire, and a gentleman from my mom’s church who
has an amazing singing voice. His appearance is in part inspired by my brother
(except that gorgeous curly hair, which he gets from my youngest son!) His
romantic side is inspired by my husband, his cop self is based very much on a
close friend who is like a brother to me. But the demons that haunt him about
not being worthy because he is not a good enough father, lover, cop…. Those all
come from me.
Thanks so much fir the spotlight! Hope you enjoy Grant as much as I do!
