EXCERPT:
I
stood in the hardware section looking at flashlights, when I suddenly felt
someone staring at me. I tried to remain inconspicuous as I glanced to my left
without turning my head. At the end of the aisle stood a slender, young man at
least six feet tall, wearing a red and black plaid, flannel shirt with cut-off
sleeves. Lean muscles flexed on his bicep as he grabbed something off the
shelf. His bare arms revealed a tattoo on his right shoulder, but I wasn't
close enough to read it.
He
must've felt my gaze on him, because he looked over at me. The sun gently
kissed his skin with a golden tan, and his full lips spread into a charming
grin. He had a clean-shaven, square jaw and sharp cheekbones that would make
any woman envious. His sandy blonde hair flowed like waves and curled softly on
the ends, brushing his ears and collar. A few, untamed strands fell in his
eyes, making his hair appear disheveled. There was no doubt in my mind he was
handsome.
Immediately,
a heat wave crashed beneath my skin...and I knew it wasn’t due to the summer
weather. I blushed under his steady gaze and looked away in an attempt to
ignore him. For some reason, I couldn't control myself. My gaze kept finding his.
A smirk played on his lips—the color of a summer peach—and I wondered if they
tasted as sweet.
Does
he enjoy making me hot and bothered?

I got this
book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my
side.
Firstly I
would like to thank April Bostic, author of The Howling Heart, for giving me
this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book of hers.
I really
enjoyed this story because the author presented here a new take on the Werewolf
Genre where we get to know more about the background of the Werewolf Clan,
their history, creation and the Norse Gods who blessed them to shift into human
form. These descriptions and logistics along with the mythology references made
the whole plot believable and it reached to the readers well. The characters
were good but I felt that they lack a little polish which if they would have
gotten a smooth final polish then that would have helped in bringing up front,
the more radiant colours of their nature.
Paige’s
character is adorable because she is ambitious and confident with big goals to
reach and on the other hand she has the love of her life. What will she choose?
This question kept me hooked to the story and I read it on and on till the end.
I loved Riley, he is hot and handsome and sexy on top of that. He made the
story a sizzling treat.
I liked the
side characters and they all played an important role in this story as well.
The action is of great quality and the vivid descriptions made me cherish the
scenes. The romance is remarkable; it’s passionate and hot and had all the
spices that made it a hit one.
Over all a
great read and the author’s miraculously fabulous writing style won my heart as
well so I would love to recommend this book to ya all and hope that you guys
will love it too.
