Firia is all about following her ambition. She’s a strong
and passionate young woman, and she isn’t going to let her heritage hold her
back.
In Magic Academy, most of the mages and wizards are elves.
Humans are lowly peons that tend to be regulated to menial labour and
depressing lives. They are a people without hope, without drive, and Firia
ignores that. Even though she’s a human, she’s a natural with magic, and won’t
roll over without a fight.
In spite of her lot in life, she’s committed to doing what it takes to surpass her lowly human
heritage and become someone of note in the wider world.
Meanwhile, when she summons Varuj, she thinks of him as
nothing more than a demon. An evil creature from a hellish void whose purpose
is to help her succeed. Yet when he adopts a friendlier form, she finds herself
softening to him despite herself.
Little is as it seems in Firia’s world, from the suave and
seductive Varuj, to the smirking elvish professor playing his flute for her.
Most of all, there is her, who has a fountain of resolve and ambition greater
than even she recognizes, which shall hopefully be enough to carry her through
not only admissions to the academy, but the trials to come, and a life as a
scorned human sorceress beyond.
She looks every bit a simple human, with black hair she
often wears in pigtails or a ponytail, and who is cute and soft hearted, but
that doesn’t dim her power. It would work to her advantage, even, by those who
are prone to assumptions.
Everyone in Magic Academy has their own dreams and desires,
and so few wear their heart of their sleeve.
