Delight, Texas, Book 3
Lynn Halstead returns to Delight, Texas, with one objective in mind—finding a little revenge for a past trauma. Instead of dishing out a hefty dose of payback, however, she comes face-to-face with the one man she’s never been able to forget. But this time she gets to touch.
Ransom Dobbs lives a life of responsibility and regret. That’s what a man does, after all. The big, tough rancher is thrown for a loop by a sweet blast from his past. Lynn burns him with every look and every touch, but can she banish the ghost that torments him? Time and a whole lot of smoldering sex can grant this cowboy the happiness he craves, but only if he’s brave enough to risk his heart.
A Romantica® Western erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

A bit about me…
I grew up in small town Oklahoma then moved to Texas  where I lived for over thirty years.  Once upon a time I worked as a newspaper journalist, as a public relations director for a university,  and other assorted things but these days I am an award winning, multi-published author.
I like writing that is hot, edgy, and often humorous, and try to put this trademark stamp on all of my stories. These days I live in sunny Florida where I find the temps ‘heat up’ my creative urges.  I am a doting, fawning, and over-indulgent mom to my two adult children and believe them to be the coolest people in the world.
When I’m not penning steamy erotic tales set in  paranormal worlds or writing hot contemporary books (usually featuring a cowboy or two) I  indulge in long chats with friends who help me stay sane and keep me laughing. Wanna be my friend forever? Make me laugh.

Favorite Quotes:
Ransom’s smile widened into a grin that caused his smoky-colored eyes to crinkle at the corners, the lines radiating out faded from exposure. He looked like a man who spent long hours squinting into the bright Texas landscape and wore those lines as proof of his love of outdoors. “You’ve changed some, Dr. Halstead, but I’m not the kind of man to forget a pretty face. I’m a little surprised, but mighty glad to see you here in Delight after all these years.”
Heat burned her cheeks, but then he released her and stepped back. She laughed a little then shook her head. A raucous song swept through the room, practically vibrating the walls, so she leaned close enough to be heard over the noise. “I’m actually a little surprised too. I didn’t think I’d ever come back. Don’t know what possessed me really, but now that I’ve seen you again, I’m beginning to think I should listen to my impulses more often.”
“Okay. Let’s do this thing, honey. The hammer is there and I have the nails in my back pocket.”
“I see the dang hammer. Just hold on.” Lynn grabbed the tool from the ground then dug the thick nails from his back pocket. His butt behind the denim was hard as a damn rock and she had the sudden image of that hard ass stamped in her brain but now wasn’t the time to let her mind wander. He had been nice enough to rescue her and give her a place to stay; the least she could do was help him with the fence. Yeah, right. Who was she kidding? Her wildest dream was to get down and dirty with this man but she shoved that lascivious image into the back of her mind.
Together they fixed the fence and when it was done, he leaned against it and grinned. “Mighty fine job for a woman.”
“For a woman?” She saw the teasing glint in his eyes and played along. “For a woman? I’ll have you know that doctors do things on a daily basis that would have a big, strong cowboy like you barfing your guts out. Don’t go preachin’ to me about being a silly little woman.”

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.  I loved the story behind this book.  Losing someone you loved is that hardest thing to go through.  Yes that is what this story deals with.  The love a cowboy had for his wife and the mistakes that he made. Ransom is a rancher who loved his wife and after an argument and hurt feelings his wife ran and ended up dying in a car accident. For over 10 years Ransom lived with the guilt that he killed her. He withdrew from everything and everybody. He just went through the days just to survive.  He was determined to not let anyone close to him again. That was until Lynn came back in town and from the beginning there was so much sexual tension between them.
Lynn was from Delight, Texas and let to get away from the humiliation she felt. She went back to get payback but instead literally feel into the arms of the one man who was kind to her.  Man I wouldn’t mind falling into a hot cowboys arms.  She also ran into the one man she hoped she would never see again. Ransom again was there to save her when she needed it even though Ransom really didn’t want to get close to her but he wouldn’t let anyone hurt her again.  For the time she was in town she was staying in his house and man did the sex become addictive. Can Lynn help Ransom let go of his past? Can they find a future together? Or will both their pasts destroy what they are building together?
This is a really good cowboy lovin book. The story flows and throughout this book you feel the love and sadness plus the hot steam sex…
