He stopped in front of a stall. A horse watched them warily, her body locked in place. She was a gleaming shade of dark chestnut with a white star on her forehead. There was something almost vulnerable about the horse, something that touched Natalie deeply. “She’s beautiful, Connor. What’s her name?”

“Her name is Star,” he replied, staring at Natalie. “And she’s yours.”

“What do you mean?” She gasped out, staring between him and the horse. “This is my surprise?”

“Indeed it is.” Connor looked at the horse with a frown. “She’s a rescued horse. Her previous owners treated her horribly. It’s a wonder that she even survived, but she did. Star is resilient, but she’s not able to trust anyone. When I heard about her, I knew she needed you.” He stopped to look down at her, his expression unreadable. “Even more, I think you need her.”

“Thank you, Connor,” Natalie said, her voice trembling. She was touched by his gift, more so than words could say. Overcome by it all, she surprised them both when she hugged him.

His arms wrapped around her quickly, holding her tight. A long moment passed, and then another. In her mind, she fit perfectly within the shelter of his arms. She wondered if Connor felt the same.

“You've got to be shitting me,” a male’s voice interrupted them, his tone loud and incredulous.“Connor, even in the barn? Really?” He sounded disgusted as he added, “This man ought to be neutered. It’s not safe to let him roam the streets, woods, or even barns. Once he was even caught messing with one of Alexander’s maids, and you want to know what’s worse? He was wearing red lipstick.”

Natalie jerked away from Connor. She was mortified by the other man’s words. Peeking past Connor’s large frame, she saw a large Native American male standing about twenty feet back. He was with a pretty blonde female who looked extremely exasperated. He had to be another guardian, his size and demeanor left no doubts in her mind to his identity.

Connor rolled his eyes and smirked before turning around to greet him. “Oh, hell,” he drawled out in a mocking tone of voice. “So Marrok is back and looking just as grouchy as he always did. What’s the matter, old boy? Did you piss your mate off on the honeymoon and get your sorry ass thrown out in the doghouse?”

Ten Questions with Connor Bouchard - Werewolf Extraordinaire and Hero of My Wolf Cowboy by Rose Wynters
Between the horses at the ranch, and his werewolf guardian duties, Connor has been fairly busy lately... But he's agreed to answer these questions and give us a look at the man, and werewolf, behind the book.

RW: So, Connor... Things got pretty explosive in My Wolf Cowboy. How are you really doing? Give us three words to describe your life, now.
CB: Satisfied - Horny - Loved

RW: Hmmm. Satisfied and Horny? Isn't that a contradiction?
CB: Not when it comes to me, babe.

RW: (I tremble, but it's not in fear, I can promise you that! *Winking*) What are you thinking about, right now? (Somehow, I manage to squeak this out.)
CB: (He levels his eyes at me, and God help me, they are glowing.) Sex.

RW: (By sheer strength of will, I manage to hold back the yes that it dying to slip past my lips. After all, it was a statement, not an invitation.) What are your favorite foods?
CB: (He gives me a wolfish grin.) I'm a meat and potatoes type of guy... Minus the potatoes.

RW: And your favorite dessert?
CB: Not the kind that can be found in the kitchen.

RW: (I get his meaning immediately....  And for a moment, I'm so envious of Natalie... But I quickly recuperate.) Can you share with us your age, and what that means when it comes to werewolves?
CB: In human years, I'm three hundred years old, give or take... But in our way of life, that's young. Werewolves are one step shy of being immortals. We live a very, very, very long time naturally.

RW: Cool. What are some of your favorite movies?
CB: I don't watch television very much... With that being said, The 40-Year-Old Virgin was pretty funny.

RW: What kind of music do you like?
CB: I have eccentric tastes... But I enjoy listening to a lot of 80's music, especially rock and country.

RW: What's the scariest thing you've been through?
CB: (His expression turns serious.) I'm going to be honest. There's not much in life that scares me. I don't think twice about death. But nothing could bring me to my knees faster than losing Natalie. And I almost did. So to answer your question, nearly losing her.

RW: One last question... Have you ever tried sushi?
CB: (He gets a bemused look on his face. It's as if he's wondering why on earth I'd ask it.) In a way. Does eating raw fish as a werewolf count?

RW: (Not really, but I don't tell him that!) Thanks for sharing, Connor.

Connor has been my favorite since this series started and I was thrilled with his book! Connor is the biggest flirt and to find out this his mate is Amish was poetic! 

I was pleasantly surprised with how the author added some charchters that were not of this world. When they were introduced I will admit I was wary but, Wynters nailed it. The Snakevodies are after Connors mate and he will not let anyone take her away. 

Natalie's whole world was flipped and spun in a matter of minutes! One minutes she's about to be married off to an old man from the settlement and the next she's seen an alien and been claimed by a man who turns into a wolf! Oh yes all that happened! 

Connor is and always will be my favorite Guardian!
