DESCRIPTION
Mira is trapped in the past. As a child, she witnessed the
demonic abduction of her mother. For years she’s been searching for answers,
despite her grandmother’s warnings to let the past remain buried. Desperate,
Mira performs a spell she doesn’t understand and summons a demon—a hot, horny
and bound-to-her-will demon. Before she knows what’s happening, they’re wrapped
in a carnal embrace that smolders, sizzles and knocks her flat on her back in
the best way possible.
Karnon is stunned when a blood witch summons him to the
human realm, but nothing could prepare him for her request that she return with
him to Hell to search for her mother. Emboldened by her faith in his word and
the way she touches him—both in and out of bed—Karnon takes Mira to Hell,
willing to stand between her and every danger, familial and otherwise. He can
do no less for the woman who, despite all the risks, he’s beginning to love.

ABOUT MARY C. MOORE
Mary is an offspring of the counter-culture mind-blown
hippie movement that sprang up north of the Bay Area after the sixties. She
roamed through the landscape with all the other half-feral, half-naked,
half-educated children running wild in the hills and forests of Northern
California. Like Titania's fairies roamed through the Grecian wood or Wendy’s
lost boys roamed through Neverland, dancing through buttercups, oak leaves and
wild strawberries.
She continued to roam as she grew older, through Africa, Asia,
Europe and the Americas, finally landing again in California where she
currently resides with three pesky roommates and two mellow cats. Armed with a
BS in biology, she spent a few years working as a zookeeper until she graduated
from Mills College, Oakland, with a MFA in Creative Writing and English.
Mary has taken her love of adventure and biology and turned
it to the pen to write about the strange, fabulous and unexpected in this
world.
Favorite Quotes:
“It’s my fault Mommy’s gone,” Mira whispered. Without a word
Mira’s grandmother gathered her up in her strong arms, pressing Mira’s face to
her bosom and carried her away.
The center of the pentagram held a naked beast of a man. His
shoulder muscles rippled and gleamed in the candlelight. She gasped. He was
magnificent. “You called me,” he said, his deep voice caressing her.
“Father, I will escort her back to prove her story.” Satan
turned to his son. “And if she is lying?” “That’s the point.” Karnon’s voice
was thick. “I will wait for her in the pentagram to bring her mother to me, to
show me proof of Xander’s crimes.”
I was given this story in exchange for an honest review.
Mira is lost since she witnessed her mom taken by a demon. She
has struggled for years to find how to locate her mom. He is a blood-witch and her grandmother
refused to teach her. Now that her grandmother had passed on she is determined
to perform a spell to find her mom. What she didn’t expect was to perform a
spell and have a hot sexy horny (latterly) and figuratively demon show up. The spell causes them to have hot smoldering
sex.
The hot sexy horny demon is Karnon, the son of Satan. When
he was summoned he did not realize just what to expect and Mira was hot sexy
and beautiful but what shocked him more was that she requested, no demanded him
to take her to hell so she could find her mom. What neither expected was to
find who really kidnapped her mom and why. They also never expected to fall in
love. But with living in different worlds how can it work? Will Mira be destroyed by the demons that
hate blood witches? Or will Karnon have trusted the wrong person? Will he be
trapped in the human realm because of it?
This is a novella but it is an excellent book. There is hot,
steamy sex, intrigue, and love. As you
read you fall into the story and cheer for Mira. Then you hope Karnon will love her cause you
already know Mira has fallin for him…
