You were here
September 17, 2007 – Day 1
Love.
The first time I saw you.
You were there, in my French class,
At school.
On a beautiful autumn day,
That looked more like a beautiful spring day.
The sun was there, and the air was fresh.
Clearly, this was the ordained time to meet the girl of my dreams.
Upon entering class.
I entered the room and inevitably, I saw you.
Shocked, and pleased.
Nothing was more captivating.
The place was crowded with other students.
But only you exited before my eyes.
It’d been a while since I’d seen you.
I understood immediately why there were people passing before our eyes that I never lingered on.
The others.
You,
You were there again.
The physical embodiment of love.
In person.
Literally, I felt an energy come from your body.
An invisible heartbeat,
Of life.
I felt that you were there for me.

About the Author:
Leonard Belmont is a French Montreal-based writer who enjoys the little things that life has to offer. He first began writing as a way to explore both himself and the world around him. This exploration led to a spiritual journey of discovery.
A parapsychologic writer, Leonard Belmont seeks truth through automatic writing, a process where he lets his inner-most thoughts and ideas flow onto the paper without conscious critique. This autopilot exploration unearths the unconscious secrets our spiritual self keeps from our conscious, critical self.
