I’m up early…you know,
‘cause kids only know one time…get-the-fu*k-up o’clock. (That doesn’t make me sound very thankful for
them, does it? However, I assure you, I
most definitely am!! They are the tiny
loves of my life!) Once I’ve got the
kids up, I try valiantly to clean up, and then re-clean what they’ve managed to
mess up from the hours of 7-12 A.M. From
there, they (The kids…not me of course!) go to bed, and I’ll start cooking, or
cleaning (AGAIN!) Our family usually
comes over around two, so at least the house looks fairly presentable since my
babies are asleep. Which I then promptly
wake up, wrangle them into cute clothes that will surely be smeared with mashed
potatoes in no time, and let the family take their pictures with the kiddos
before we eat. I then go into the
kitchen, start getting food in pretty dishes that you only use twice a year,
and place it all on the table. Then we
devour it. We are that family that likes
to eat, for sure!
