She thought it was over…
Five hundred years ago, Aurora lost everything…including Lucas, the love of her life, when he refused to let go of the past. After centuries of clashes with him, the peace she’s found in the small town of Summer Gate is shattered when Lucas finds her again. Now, she’ll need her control of fire to protect not just herself but also her best friend.

He’s going to show her it’s only just begun…

Lucas walked away from Aurora when she gave up on their quest for justice. Realizing he gave up the most important thing in his life, he went in search of her. Now, almost two centuries after their last fight, he’s tracked her down. With Aurora furious and fighting hard, Lucas will need every ounce of his ice powers to get what he’s after.

It’s here…
The battle brewing for five centuries is here. Before it’s over someone will be ruthlessly attacked, another gravely injured and more than one person will disappear. Enemies Aurora didn’t know existed will emerge from the shadows. It will take all of her Elemental training, and powers she’s kept hidden, to make it through alive.

Describe your books in 3 words? Twisty, paranormal fun
If you could be any character from one of your books who would it be? Aurora, I'd love to be able to handle fire the way she does
What is your greatest fear about being an author/publishing your book(s)? That I'll let the pressure to produce ruin the fun
Would the 10 year-old version of yourself kick your butt or praise you for what you've accomplished in life? Probably a little of both...lol
What do you do when you finish your book and turn it in to the editor? I happy dance...obnoxiously, and with no one around
What is your favorite Genre and why? Paranormal/Fantasy because there are just too many possibilities out there
What is one thing that would surprise us to know about you?  I actively collect Bret "Hitman" Hart stuff
Was there an Author who inspired you to write? Not so much write, I was already doing that, but I'd never have finished the first book, let alone the whole trilogy, if I hadn't read the Letter to the Readers at the beginning of Christine Feehan's Dark Desire. She'll probably never know how much of a difference she made though I'd love to tell her
How did you come up with the characters in your books? I daydream...a lot, lol...but as children my brother and I, along with the neighbor kid, always pretended to be super heroes and I always imagined I could control ice. This was before I'd ever heard of the X-Men and it seemed natural to continue playing with in it my story
Do you prefer to write alone or do you like to collaborate with other authors? I've not had the chance yet but if the right fit came along, I'd be willing to give it a try
Everyone uses computers, tablets, phones and no one uses handwritten form or typewriters, what do you prefer to use? All three books in the trilogy were hand written and I have several notebooks that have butt loads of sticky notes at the top of the pages marking out scenes. Computers were too rigid for my writing style because I've never written a story from beginning to end. Always in pieces but now with some of the programs out there, I can do more first draft work on the computer and rearrange as I go but I have a two foot stack of notebook paper always being pulled from and sticky notes galore
Is there a ritual you do before you begin your book? Nope, except if I've finished one...say the first in the series...I'll give myself sometime to chill from it before I dig into the next, otherwise I'm likely to still be thinking about the first and not focusing on the next
What was you're greatest moment since publishing? I've only been published for about a month but probably calling my Dad and Aunt and being able to say "I did it! It's live!" They've been there from the start and encouraged and pushed for me to reach my dream
When writing your characters, do you picture someone specific that you take their features from (eg. actor/actresses) or do you pull looks from the air? From air...definitely...I hate being told who a character looks like because it throws off how I read the books. I give you hard details...Aurora has bright green eyes and long blonde hair...she's about 6' to Lucas' 6'5" and I let you fill in the rest. If you want to imagine her with a thin figure, go ahead. And if you like you girls on the curvy side, that works too. To me it's more about what's on the inside of the character than outside

Favorite Lines “You don’t know it but something wonderful has happened today; a miracle. Your future, and ours, is secure now.”

“I hate you,” he whispered. “And love you so desperately I’ll never be able to hold on to it.”

“You aren’t the only one with something to lose.”

“And the greatest of these is love...”

“We all finish healing,” Lucas said, nodding at Kyle to include him. He bent down and kissed Aurora. “And then we go hunting.”

More please! I just love when I get my hands on a authors first release and it's phenomenal! I've read every kind of fantasy and paranormal story and there was none quite like this!! It has everything I love in a book plus so much more! Aurora and Lucas are different from everyone else. They each control a power, Aurora controls fire and Lucas controls ice. After a truly heartbreaking event things change between them both. They separate for over 500 years but, come back together to fight a common enemy. This author did an amazing job! I can't wait to see what comes next in this series! I have no doubt it will be amazing! Want some different with everything you love in one book? The Binding Elements is for you!
