Four months ago, a traumatic accident put Trista in the psych ward. They were supposed to help her deal with the events that transpired, but something happened to her in there. Something changed her and Jeremi Lloyd can’t figure out what it is. As her guardian, it’s Jeremi’s job to make sure Trista is taken care of. During the day, Trista is happy and content with the best fiancĂ© in the world, but at night, horrible nightmares plague her sleep.
But Jeremi has a huge secret, one the doctors say Trista isn’t ready to handle. It’s a secret that could shatter what little bit of happiness and stability Trista has been able to find.
When Jeremi learns that strange things are happening at the psych ward where Trista was being helped, he starts to wonder if her nightmares and her mental instability aren’t really her fault. And he wonders if the secrets he’s keeping are worth it.
As the answers begin to surface in ways neither Trista or Jeremi could have imagined, so does a level of danger that could be the end of them and their friends. Can they figure out the truth before they’re both committed?

About the Author-

Tyffani Clark Kemp might be the quietest person in the room, but that just means she’s probably the biggest freak too. She is a multi-genre author with a gift for the written word and a desire to help all Indies reach their full potential. In 2012, she and her best friend Kimberly Fudge started SideStreet Cookie Publishing for authors who want to remain independent, but don’t have the time or the knowledge to do it all themselves. From the age of eleven she dedicated her life to writing and making sure she was good at her craft. Now, she passes that knowledge on to others. Her friends would describe her as determined and giving. She may be quiet, but she always has a story to tell.

Favorite Quotes:

Trista was passed out across the bed. Her wet curls hung over her forehead in a tangle that he knew she would hate when she woke up. She was wrapped in nothing but a towel that barely covered the important parts and one round ass cheek peeked out from beneath the pink terry cloth. Jeremi took a step toward her, his every intention to stroke her smooth backside until she woke up. He could already feel her skin beneath his fingers…
“You’re fine, Princess,” he promised. “Why don’t you get dressed and I’ll fix you something to eat?” Trista smiled. “Okay.” Demion slipped into some sweatpants and followed his brother from the room. Trista used to hate it when he called her Princess. Now, it was the only name she ever wanted to hear him call her.
“Stop talking.” She didn’t sound angry. As a matter of fact, she sounded kind of humored. “It’s fine. I just had no idea.” “Well, that would be the point of a secret crush that I had no idea I had, wouldn’t it?” Even to himself he sounded a little bitter. “Sorry. Just forget it.” “Yeah, that’s not going to happen. I mean, you’re in love with your dead brother’s girlfriend.” She actually giggled. “Shut up.”

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

This is a story about Trista and Jeremi. Trista was in a car accident and could not remember what happen. She had nightmares and believed she has a boyfriend with her but the problem was no one else believed he was real or did they?  When she would freak out she was taken to get treatment in a pysch ward but she feared the treatment and when she would come back home she would not remember what she did. With the help of Jeremi Trista would make it through each day. But there is more to this accident then you are being told.

Jeremi is in love with Trista but feels he can’t be with her. But he also won’t leave her. Strange things were happening in the psych ward that no one knows about until both Jeremi and Trista are captured. Will Trista find out what really happen the night of her accident? Will Jeremi finally admit his feelings? Or will both end up dead?

As I said this book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
When I started reading this book I though this is going to be a straight forward story of tragedy and murder but I was wrong. As you read on you wonder what Jeremi is really hiding from Trista. It started slowly but began to develop quickly.  It left you guessing what was really happening. There were a lot of twists and turns. This story left you on the edge of your seat and you just wanted to keep reading to find out what was happening. Throughout the story you kept guess and was wrong. This story was intriguing and not what I expected. It had murder, mayhem, laughter, sorrow, love, friendship and tough women who weren’t afraid to fight back. It was worth reading.
