What are your current projects?
Glad you asked! Sexy to Go is a multi-author collaboration where we release a boxed set of (typically) 10 or more short, erotic stories each month. What’s great about Sexy to Go is that there’s a little something for everyone in each volume. You’ll find everything from paranormal to contemporary to historical to sci-fi to m/f to m/m to BDSM. It’s a great way to find new authors and sample their writing and have a hot time doing so.
In Sexy to Go, Volume 6, my story, First Class, is about a woman who is afraid to fly and the handsome man who sits next to her and “distracts” her from her fear. Things get super-hot on that plane!
Do you ever picture yourself as one of your heroines? If so, which one?
Every time I write a new character—heroine or hero—I see some of myself in them. I think that’s inevitable when you write. You need to be in the characters’ heads to write them convincingly. This even applies to villains, which can get a little weird for the writer.
What is your favorite Genre and why?
Paranormal will probably always be my favorite genre to both read and write. Paranormal offers an escape from the real world, you get to break the rules of the real world, and anything is possible as long as you can write it well enough that readers can suspend disbelief.
In Sexy to Go, Volume 3, my story, Gettin’ Lucky with a Leprechaun, is a fun paranormal/fantasy, and yes, the hero is a Leprechaun. A super sexy Leprechaun!
In Sexy to Go, Volume 4, the story is continued in Claimed by a Leprechaun.
I hope lovers of paranormal/fantasy enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Do you prefer to write alone or do you like to collaborate with other authors?
When it comes to the actual writing, I’m a loner. But collaborating with other authors on boxed sets is a lot of fun.
Do you ever get writer’s block? If so, how do you get through it?
When a project stalls, there a couple things I do. One: Work on something else for a day or two to see if getting a little distance from the stalled project helps. Two: Simply keep writing on the project that’s giving me issues. I mean, no matter how crappy the words are coming out—just keep going. I might have to throw out most of those words, but at some point, I usually regain my focus and flow.
When you are reading a book, who is your favorite author?
I have a few favorites. Larissa Ione, Gena Showalter, Laura Wright
What do you do when you finish your book and turn it in to the editor?
Breathe a sigh of relief and start working on the next book!
