He wanted a baby. I needed a man.
Faith
The first time I saw Jackson, I hated his guts. He was everything I could never have. Pure, panty-wetting, manhood. And I was trapped in a loveless relationship with his worst enemy. I never would have dreamed he craved my womb so badly he was willing to do anything for it.
Jackson
My father's death taught me a lot of things. Most importantly, I needed a child. I had to have a son before my enemies caught up with me. So when Faith came begging for protection, I knew exactly what I wanted. I yearned for her body. Lust raged through me like a wildfire. I longed to make her pregnant with my child. I gave her an offer she couldn't refuse. A life for a life. My protection, in exchange for everything she had to offer. I'd die for her, but she would give me a son.
I took her womb. I never suspected she'd take my heart.

“We could do this all day,” I said, “but I’m not in the mood
for banter.” “Have it your way. You know where I can find him?” “Who?” I said,
knowing full well who he meant. I was prolonging our interaction without even
realizing it. Was I that lonely for real contact? “Wolf.” “I’m sorry, is there
something about me that gives you the impression I’m his secretary?” “Jesus.
What is it with you? Just tell me where he is.” “Fine. He’s gone. They all are.
You missed them.”
“You asked if I’m a good man. The truth is, I’m not a good
man. I’m bad. Bad to the bone.”
“You’re running away from me. You’re a coward, Jackson
Jones. If you leave me now, you’ll be a coward till your dying day. I swear to
God.”
This book was given in exchange for an honest review. This
book was a story about a woman named Faith that is in a very bad relationship
and meets a bad boy named Jackson. He
made an offer she couldn’t refuse. But they both got more than they expected.
Love! But Jackson had a promise to keep and to keep that promise he had to leave.
But the question is will he return to Faith? Only Time will tell.
This was a great story. It was a well written story, with
some twists and turns. I was not happy that (spoiler) that he did not return for
years and then was not sure he should be around her. He left her to raise their
child alone. I wanted to hate Jackson but like Faith I couldn’t. He protected
her. The author kept you wanting more and couldn’t put the book down until I
was done. Can’t wait to read another story of hers, hope she writes more of the
characters in this story.
