“We like to invite our guests to go in the sauna when it’s cold outside,” I glanced at Sam, then back to my parents, “but you can’t wear clothes.  We would all be nude together.”  I couldn’t believe I had offered that. 

We were all surprised when my mom spoke up, “I would go in the sauna with them, if you will.”  Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Sam’s mouth drop open.

My dad shrugged, “I still don’t think my little girl …”  He looked sharply at me, “I’m sorry … that Kelly should see her dad that way.”

I shook my head, “Dad, a lot of families go to nude beaches together.  Just look at Kathy’s family.”

He grumbled, “But they’re hippies.”  Then, he shook his head, “If your mother wants to do it, I guess I won’t put up a fight.”

I took my parents up to one of the guest bedrooms and gave them robes.  Then, Sam and I went into the master bedroom and got undressed, donning our ‘superman’ and ‘superwoman’ robes.

We were getting rinsed off under the rain shower, when my parents entered the shower room.  My dad’s eyes were glued on me, and I realized that we’d all seen each other nude … except for my dad seeing me.  I was pretty sure he would never call me his ‘little girl’ again!

We handed towels to my parents and went into the sauna.  Sam showed them how to arrange the towels, and they sat on the top bench with us – the men in the corners, and me next to my mom in the center.

The furnace crackled, and Sam stepped down to ladle some water over the hot rocks.  A ‘whoosh’ of steam rose, and the sauna suddenly felt hotter.

My mother lifted my hand but, remembering Fiona’s experience with her piercing, I had taken off the ring.  I looked at my parents, “I want to thank you both for making this so easy for us.”

Realizing that they may be thinking about going in the sauna together, I clarified, “I mean about us getting engaged.  Sam and I really do love each other, and we’ve been good for each other – we’ve both grown a lot over the past year.”  Sam was nodding, but I hoped that my parents didn’t ask for examples of how Sam had grown.

My mother smiled, “Yes, dear, we’ve seen that.  You seem to have matured greatly over the past year or so.  We are both impressed with your strength, especially your father.”  I knew that at least his bottom had been impressed by my strength.

Then, she clarified, chuckling, “I didn’t mean your physical strength – that too – but your fortitude.  How quickly you finished your doctorate, and how serious you are about your new business.”

She turned to my dad, who was listening to the conversation while still staring at my body, then she turned back to me, “We don’t really understand what it is you’re doing, but we know it’s important to you, and we hope you’re successful.”

I held my mom’s hands, “Thank you, mom.”  I didn’t think it was worth trying to explain the technology again.

We were all getting hot, sweat streaming down our bodies.  I suggested, “Why don’t you guys get rinsed off, and put your robes on, then we’ll get our showers.”

My mother looked at my dad, her eyes glancing down, and my eyes following hers.  It looked to me like he might be a little hard … although it was hard to tell.

He put his hands in his lap, and my mother turned to me, “Dear, why don’t you and Sam take your showers, and then give us a little privacy for ours?”

Sam was already stepping to the lower bench, and then down to the tile floor of the sauna.  He opened the door for us, and quickly closed it again.  We took a quick shower, just a rinse, then put on our robes, and went to the playroom, closing the door behind us.

Sam raised his eyebrows, “Well, that was interesting.  I don’t think your dad has had much experience seeing nude young women.”

“Sam!  I’m his daughter!”

Shaking his head, Sam said, “Yeah, but you’re still a beautiful young woman.”  Then, he laughed, “When was the last time your dad saw you naked?”

That stopped me:  Other than possibly seeing me in the pool when he’d found my friends and I skinny-dipping, I don’t think he’d ever seen me nude.  Sam poured Diet Cokes for us, and we sat on the couch.

A few minutes later, my parents emerged in their robes, and sat on the loveseat.  My dad turned to me, “Your mother is getting more frisky in her old age.”  My mother frowned, and he offered, “She’s still sexy … to me.”  He winked at Sam.

“That’s really great.  I’m happy for both of you!” Sam smiled and nodded.  I wondered whether my little ‘punishment’ had made a difference.  I think that had been the first time my mom had seen my dad contrite, apologetic … and submissive.

My dad looked into his lap, and said, softly, “When Sam took your mother down, nude, to bathe her … I know nothing happened; she’s told me all about it.  But I still couldn’t really visualize it, so it’s become … sort-of a fantasy for me.”

Sam leaned forward, put his coke on the tray, and chuckled, “I’d be happy to bathe Darlene again, and let you watch, if you want.”  My dad shook his head, and started to say something, but got flustered.

I put my glass down, “Shall we go back in the sauna?”  My parents looked at each other and smiled.

Prior to becoming an author, Simone was a nurse.  One of her pet peeves is reading erotica that gets simple anatomy wrong!  She is continually bewildered by women who haven’t explored their own bodies.  Another pet peeve is the mostly hung-up Victorian society prevalent in the U.S. and U.K., and she tries to do her part to change that by introducing people to new sexual and sensual experiences through her erotic writing.  The activities in Simone’s books are quite realistic, as she has participated in most of these in ‘real life’, as surreal as it may seem. 

Simone is currently completing the Experiences series, which will run an estimated 1,000,000 words!  That is why she refers to it as an ‘epic’ romance, although each volume is intended to stand on its own, with a ‘happy for now’ ending.  Experiences combines literary style and philosophical discussion by the characters with graphic portrayal of sex in all of its kinks and fetishes.  You may not like all of the things Simone’s characters do … but neither do they.  Their exploration of new experiences will hopefully motivate some readers to explore their own sexuality to a greater extent.
