Blurb-
Just a year ago, I thought I was an ordinary human, and I gave up everything on Earth to save the people I loved. I have become the Lenai of Emréiana, making me the heir to the Emréian throne. It also makes me in charge of defeating the Bremoir, a race that has been consuming other worlds. If I can’t stop them, the universe is doomed.

Then there is Aaronmon, my betrothed. We have only known each other for a year, but our bond is strong. It’s that bond that makes it hard to know my true feelings. While I think I am ready for the ceremony, I wonder if I really love him like I loved Kyle, my ex- boyfriend who was murdered.

But none of my feelings matter. In order to rule Emréiana, I must go through with the bonding ceremony. If I don’t, then I risk losing the right as heir and I’ll have no power in the war against the Bremoir. Nobody wants them defeated more than me.

Kristen was born in Alabama in 1991 and still resides there today. She has been writing since the 6th grade. However, she did not begin to write fiction until she was 15. In 2009, Kristen had an idea that would spark the concept for Gemini of Emréiana that she would later write in 2011. During that time, she met her husband. They married in August of 2012. When Kristen is not writing, she spends time watching Korean Drama's or creating SIM's 3 stories. Kristen continues to write the next novels to the Gemini Trilogy. She also plans to release a new series later on in the year.

Where did you come up with the name Gemini?
( I love it! It's perfect for this series so I'm curious as to where it cam from.)
You know, I have no idea when I decided to use it. I ended up getting a tattoo of the Gemini symbol on my shoulder, because of my zodiac. I really wanted it on the back of my neck but because of work couldn’t. Then somehow the idea came into my mind that these people would have tattoos on the back of their necks.

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
When I was 15 I started writing my first attempted novel. While I never finished it, I did love creating the characters and their world. From there I just knew I always wanted to write.

Describe your books in 3 words?
Fast paced, heartfelt, and (at times) frightening.

Do you have a process?
I like to think that I do. I try to outline and have the ending set in my head. From there, it makes it easy to fill in the blanks.

Who or What is your inspiration?
I pull inspiration from different things. At the moment, I am pulling them from Korean Dramas. I love those! But it also gives me a new mindset for the newest series I am working on.

What will you be working on next?
I have a new series I am working on. I am super excited to share it with everyone, but since I am just starting on it, I can just say it is a WIP and nothing more from there.

What's your favorite genre to write?
Science Fiction. It’s fun and creative. Plus I get to learn all kinds of neat things when I research trying to make sure it could possibly actually happen.

Person you would like to meet most in this world?
At this moment, Park Shin Hye. She is a K-drama actress that I have recently started to watch. She is an amazing actress and has that comfortable feeling that I would like to apply to a charachter.

What is one thing that would surprise us to know about you?
That would surprise people? I don’t know. I’m a very open person almost. Maybe, unless you already know, that I am still in college. I don’t think it is that surprising, but some don’t know that.

If you could be any character from one of your books who would it be?
If I could be any character, I would have to say Carsona. Yes, I know she is my protagonist and it is a bit of a cop out, but really I think her life is cool-- even if it is overwhelming.

What is your greatest fear about being an author/publishing your book(s)?
That I’m not good enough. I don’t have to make tons of money to answer that question, but if readers say that it is bad then it must be, and I mean more than the few one/ two stars people are always bound to get. i don’t want to let my readers down, otherwise I have no business charging them money to read it. Yes, I want to support my family, but I don’t want to rip people off either. So I want to always do my absolute best.

Would the 10 year-old version of yourself kick your butt or praise you for what you've accomplished in life?
I don’t think my ten year old self would ever be able to conceive the happiness I have right now being married to a wonderful man and now writing stories. At that age, I didn't even know I had that kind of talent!

If you could meet any author, dead or alive, who would you choose?
Lois Lowry. I have always admired her work even before I knew I wanted to write.

What is your favorite type of fairy and why?
Pixies! I think they a cute and fun! They are also little pranksters at times and I like jokes!

Favorite Lines “You don’t have to worry. I realized not so long ago that Aaronmon means more to me than just the bond.”

“My daughter, you are truly growing up. I can’t wait to see the gifts the future will bring you.”

I never thought I would so enjoy a series about... Well.... Aliens I guess but, this series is amazing! It has betrayal, drama, love, sadness, and happiness! I loved it.
Watching Lenai Carsona grow into such an amazing character and woman was a fabulous! She's finally on her home planet, learning who she is, who she is to become, and if her love for Aaronmon is love or just part of the bond they share. The Bremoir are back and some of Lenai on people are working with them. I can't wait to see what happens next! It really is an amazing series one I was expecting to enjoy but, am so glad I did!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review

  1. Your interview was really fun! My favorite was asking about my ten year old self. It really is funny thinking back on the past and knowing what my life is now. I'm really glad you liked the series! BTW I love the fairy concept of your blog. It is beautiful. I used to collect fairy figurines when I was ten now that I think about it. Thanks for sharing during the blog tour. :)
