Bonded in Shadows Spotlight~Interview~Review

When a family celebration threatens to turn into a disaster, there is only one person to blame- Asia Thompson, a member of the pack who also holds the title of Draven’s former first love.

After fighting almost impossible odds, Jes and Draven are finally together, but emotions are high strung now that Asia has shown up unannounced with the intention to take what she thinks she’s entitled to, including Draven.

Dealing with the protocol of Draven’s pack leaves a sour taste in Jes’ mouth. She’s battled every inner demon she has in order to be with her man. She wants their family to be first, not second which is easier said than done when she feels Draven is choosing his pack over family.

The pack has a way of digging their claws into their happily ever-after, pulling Draven further and further from his family’s needs. With Asia’s manipulative schemes combined with the conflict over their daughter’s birthday ritual, the couple’s bond is truly tested.

One of Tigris’ fondest memories, was in the sixth grade, when her teacher read her story, “The Case of The Missing Pepperoni”, out loud to the class. It was then she decided she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. But like all childhood dreams, reality has a way of crashing in and disrupting plans. But her imagination and the voices inside her head never stopped talking. Every dream she could remember was jotted down in her dream journals.

Tigris is currently working on the Shadow Unit Series, Romantic Tales: Bedtimes Stories, and has expanded on the Genesis Project which will now be a trilogy introduced in 2014.

Tigris is a military brat who’s done her fair share of travelling, thanks to her Army father. She’s married to the infamous LL and has three boys. She currently resides in Houston and is actively seeking a book-buddy for the end of the world.
You can find Tigris on Twitter, Facebook, and at her website.

Describe your books in 3 words?
[Tigris ]
The Pack, Silk, Bonds
If you could be any character from one of your books who would it be?
[Tigris ]
Jesminda
What is your greatest fear about being an author/publishing your book(s)?
[Tigris ]  I’ve never really thought about it. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing or a good thing. Right now I’m just taking it day by day. J
Would the 10 year-old version of yourself kick your butt or praise you for what you've accomplished in life?[Tigris ]  Definitely praise me, 10 years ago I had goals, and as I’ve checked them off my list and made new ones I have not one single regret.
What do you do when you finish your book and turn it in to the editor?[Tigris ]  I read every single book that I downloaded on my kindle, which is usually like 5-10 books. Then I veg out in front of the television and spend loads of time with LL to make up for my absence when locked in my writing cave.
What is your favorite Genre and why?[Tigris ]  I don’t have a favorite Genre, I tend to read whatever catches my fancy and if that books was good, I look for other’s just like it.
What is one thing that would surprise us to know about you?
[Tigris ] Hmmmm….. I get this question a lot and each time I swear it changes. Does that make me strange? My new obsession is Grape-Nuts without milk. I can literally polish off a box in like two to three days.
Was there an Author who inspired you to write?[Tigris ]  No, I started to take writing seriously after my sixth grade teacher read my story, The Case of the Missing Peperoni out loud to the class.
How did you come up with the characters in your books?[Tigris ]  LL who happens to be the husband is two characters actually he has a little bit of Draven and a whole lot of Royce, others were just ideas that spun out of control from the voices in my head.
Do you prefer to write alone or do you like to collaborate with other authors?[Tigris ]  I like writing alone, and don’t think I would mind collaborating with another author. Guess we just have to wait and see, there is something in the works… *Look for that in 2015*
Everyone uses computers, tablets, phones and no one uses handwritten form or typewriters, what do you prefer to use?[Tigris ]  That is too funny that you should say that…. Ummm I actually use paper and pen to write, and then its transferred onto my computer. That’s my preferred method. I find that when I write I’m able to capture exactly what it is I wanted to convey, and then I’m able to dig deeper once I start typing it out on the computer. It is time consuming but it’s worth it.
Is there a ritual you do before you begin your book?[Tigris ]  Depends on what I’m working on. My last book I wrote which is coming out June 1st I sat down and wrote it in two days. J I just sat down and did the darn thing… LOL On the fly. Of course there were tweaks after, but the first draft took me two whole days. Granted the book was only 11K J
What was you're greatest moment since publishing? [Tigris ]  I would have to say all the reader feedback. Its motivating. It’s humbling knowing that there is someone out there reading my stories.
When writing your characters, do you picture someone specific that you take their features from (eg. actor/actresses) or do you pull looks from the air?[Tigris ]  I pull looks from the air most of the time, which usually works for me, but I do find that at times I will go the route of a model or actor/actress just depends. Sometimes it can even be a combination of both.

Favorite Lines “Duh, I fucking love you two”

“I’m going to see about my mate. Make sure Jes understands exactly where I’m coming from and her position at my side.”

“Draven had split from the pack. A line had been drawn between members of the pack.”

“A bond stronger than life itself. Their bond ensured that they would not only be together in life but also in death”

“He had no fears, and everything was right in his world. Even if there was a little darkness still trying to pierce through, he felt settled in his life.”

Man I missed this series! I had forgotten how much I loved this world! Draven was one of my first book loves that I hated so fiercely. It's not his fault! He's been in one mess after another. He has his family back now! Jez and Faith are with him now you would think things would be smooth from here on out but OH NO OF COURSE NOT! You have crazy alphas and nasty she wolfs trying to mess everything up! Draven renewed my faith though! Thank god!
The twins (shivers) OH those twins make my toes curl! I JUST LOVE THIS WORLD!!! It's easy to get lost in it! By the time I was done I had to close my eyes and breathe a couple deep breathes, it's just that good! Tigris Eden is an amazing author who I will "patiently" wait for FOREVER!!!
JUST A GREAT SERIES!!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (RAVBT)
