Rebekah Lewis holds a Bachelor of
Arts in English Literature. She is an award-winning cover artist for digital
publishers, and enjoys every minute of it when not immersed into a world of
satyrs and Greek gods. Always feeling the need to be productive, she can be
found creating something whether with words or images, or with arts and crafts.
She resides in Savannah, GA with her cat, Bagheera.

What is your character’s name? Does the character have a
nickname? Melancton. Just Melancton will suffice.
What is your characters hair color? Eye color? My hair is black and my eyes are violet.
What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character
have? Violet eyes.
What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character
from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting? I
grew up training to defend Athens. When my father died due to a blood infection
from an untreated wound, I realized no amount of armor could shield a man. When
I met Daphne, I realized that there was no shield strong enough to protect the
heart.
What is your character's least favorite season? Winter. I enjoy sleeping in the wilderness, and winter tends to
result in frozen body parts that should never be confused with an icicle.
What do you consider the most important event of your life
so far? Being felt up by a nymph while I bathed one hot
afternoon three thousand years ago.
Who has had the most influence on you? Everything I have done since the curse has been for Daphne.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Finding a way, albeit accidently, to avoid the worst of our
curse. It is not pleasant, but worth it.
What is your greatest regret? Walking
away from Daphne the night of her betrayal. She did not deserve my ire in the
way it was given. She was wrong, yes, but so was I.
What is the most evil thing you have ever done? Working for Dionysus and spying for Apollo.
If you died or went missing, who would miss you? At one time, I would say no one. Yet now, the answer has
changed. While Daphne and I can never have a proper family due to the curse,
the Arcadian satyrs have become close friends. Family, in a sense.
Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Apollo. He is a vile, obsessive, demented prick who is
protected by Zeus’ decree alone.
Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social
situations? I do not wish to, yet others tend to look
to me due to my military expertise from ancient times.
Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or
why not? Not particularly. I prefer to stay to the
shadows and observe.
Do you care what others think of you? No.
If you could change one thing, what would it be, and why? The sacrifice that was made for Daphne and I to remain
together. It should never have come to pass.
