Title- Gemini of Emreiana
Gemini Series Book #1
By Kristen DaRay
Genre: YA Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Blurb-
My entire life has been a lie: My parents didn't die in a car accident. They're not even dead. I'm not American. I'm not even human. I have strange powers, and I'm the heir to the throne of the planet Emreiana.
If I take the crown, I have to leave behind everything I have known here on Earth. I would have to say goodbye to my friends and leave behind Kyle, the boy I've loved since I was five. If I don't, then I risk the Bremoir finding me here on Earth and destroying everything I love.

Fairy Interview
When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
When I was in the 6th grade, after I won a writing contest, I had tried writing my first books, really they were journals on my life, and I kept deleting them. But, it was when I was 15 that I realized my passion for writing genre fiction (Paranormal, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy). It was then that I knew that I wanted to be a writer. I had told everyone in my family that I wanted to be a writer and showed some the first chapter of the Love for Blood, a vampire story that I had no heart to finish. While my family supported my dreams they told me to keep in mind when searching for a college that my writing would be a side job. I guess I couldn’t argue with that with todays economy. At first I was going to go to school online and be an airline attendant. I would study strait english to improve my writing. However, my plans for that did not go through for multiple reasons. Then I decided to go to UNA. I registered as an Education Major. While I love the idea of teaching and thought it was something I could do, I realized after helping with the church children’s music that I wasn’t ready for it yet and perhaps later in my life I could get a Masters and teach college. So from there I changed my major to strait English Professional Writing. That is when I truly made a decision to be a writer.I should note that I minored in Theatre. While I love writing my books, I also would enjoy writing a script for people to enjoy and watch. I’m just waiting for that big story to come to my mind.
Do you have a process?
Yes. The hardest thing about being a writer is having discipline to take the time to write. Having my process helps me alot with that. My first step is outlining each individual chapter. If I have a clear mind on what is going on it helps my writing not get sloppy and flow better. Then from there, I just write. I get out of class at 2 and typically have to go to work at 4, so my writing time is from 2-3:30. I like to be consistent on the time, that way I make no excuse around 2. But at the same time I try not to make myself too organized to the point that I suppress my creativeness. Sometimes I have an idea for a chapter ahead of where I am. If it is in my mind I go ahead and write it. The same thing goes for time. If I wake up early in the morning and have an urge to write, I’m not going to wait till 2.
What's your favorite genre to write?
I really like Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Something about creating ideas, objects, people, homes outside of this world makes me all tingly inside.
Who or What is your inspiration?
I don’t think I have a set inspiration. There are books I read that inspire me to write more. There are movies that inspire a story. A song might inspire sentence or a concept. To me the world is my inspiration. I have to go out and search for it depending on what I am writing.
What will you be working on next?
Right now I am working on the second book to the Gemini series, Gemini the Heir. I can’t get into too many details just yet, but I just want to say that I think readers will be surprised. I had a hard decision to make with this book, and I think the decision was the right one.
Favorite paranormal read?
This is really hard because there are a lot of books that I enjoy reading! I’m not even sure I have a favorite at this point. I think it depends on my mood. Books I have read and enjoyed would be like the Harry Potter series, Eragon, Host, Blue Bloods, Few Are Angels, and Hollowland series. This list can go on though.
Favorite Author?
I think the same goes for this question. I don’t think I have a favorite author. There are things I like about each author that are different from the others and Inspire me to try the same.
If you could be any character from one of your books who would it be?
If I could be any character, I would be Carson because wouldn’t we all want to be taken from our life of work and be told you're a princess? Okay, so now you have to go to a different planet, but to me that is kinda cool. I would have a problem, though, since I am already married. LOL.
Fast Fairy Questions-
Apple or Windows?
Windows. When I first read this I was like what does a fruit have to do compared to an object. I love my computer. My husband has a Mac and it gets too complicated for me. Plus I play sims and while Mac users can play, it’s not very friendly.
Cat or Dog?
I’m a lover to all animals, but I prefer my cat.
Pepsi or Coke?
Coke, coke, and coke.
Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook.
Summer or Winter?
Summer for sure. The cold is not for me.
Vampires or Werewolves?
Vampires there isn’t a reason I just do.
Amazon or Barnes and Noble?
I have a nook and love it.
Funny or Serious?
Funny it so much more entertaining and less anxiety on me!
Print or E-book?
It depends. But if it is a book I really like, then print.
Dream spot to visit?
I really want to go to Ireland and see the castles. They are so pretty in the pictures, I’m sure I would get lots of inspiration if I saw them in person.
Fairy Thoughts
Favorite Line They stood motionless for a moment, and I watched there face twist in agony.
I really have not read any books that were about aliens and I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it.
I really have not read any books that were about aliens and I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it.
Carson is a alien from the planet Emreiana, and she is a princess! She has always lived on Earth and never knew she was an alien let alone the future ruler. Her parents sent her to Earth for her on protection. When she meets Arronman in her dreams her whole world turns upside down.
I really enjoyed watch Carson grow into becoming princess and watched her fall in love with a planet she has never been too. It was just a great read. I will recommended this book to my friends. I can't wait until the next book in this series.
I love your blog! And I have to say that the Gemini fairy is super cute!
