Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.

Eve closed her eyes, willed herself to stay calm. "You need help?"
"I've got him,"Rex yelled, barely audible over a volley of gunfire. "You worry about getting your own sweet ass out of here in one piece. Randi's already at the wall."

Mac set his jaw and muttered, "I'll watch over you." There was no place he'd rather be, and nothing he'd rather do. "I'm not leaving you alone."

I was given this story in exchange for an honest review.

This was a suspense story about Eve and Mac.  Mac and Eve have know each other in every way possible. Mac being the man he is and  having a past that man him a very strong Alpha Male. Eve was the women he loved and decided that she would never put her live in danger as an agent for the government. So he gave her a choice, the job or him. So Eve said fine the job and left. Two years later Mac's company was hired to get Eve way from a drug dealer who had captured her and killed one of her men.  After being rescued Mac refused to leave her side determined to get her back in his life.  He just had to learn to keep his over bearing Alpha Male in control. Ha! Not going to happen.  Now they have to find a way to work together to get files needed from this drug dealer.  What they don't know is who is the traitor. Will this traitor get them killed? Or will they find out who it is in time? Will Mac be able to put his past behind him and give Eve a chance to make the choice she needs to make in her life?  Will their love for each other survive?

This is a great book it flows and all the alpha males who think women are incapable of handling dangerous situations as sexy as hell but boy did I want to slap a few of them for opening their mouths. The drama in this book is good and there are funny times.  If you love suspense and unexpected things to happen in your books then this is the book for you.
